I’m pretty terrible at updates. I suppose that happens when you’re a busy college professor/composer/musician… In any event, I’ve updated the performances for early 2026 (WSU’s FOCAM and MoxSonic), but there are a few things that don’t really fit as “performances,” so how about a post.

On February 13, 2026 an installation (tentatively titled Prima Materia) will be opening at Echo Arts in Bozeman, MT. This is part of my work as a member of the Living Materials Alliance with visual artists Sara Mast and Kevin Tracy, and in conjunction with our work with the Center for Biofilm Engineering at Montana State University.

And I’ve got pieces on two albums that are coming out in March 2026.

On March 14, violinist Sarah Plum’s new album An Expanding Distance of Multiple Voices will be released on the Blue Griffin Label. It will feature the world premier recording of my piece Sirens for solo violin and reverb pedal. Sarah is also the violinist who gave the Berlin premier of Sirens in 2011, and the New York City premier in 2013.

And on March 20, Anonymous Veil, the latest in the SCI CD Series will be released on PARMA/Nanova Records. This will include the binaural version of Web. Kind of hard to do a third order Ambisonics piece on a CD.
